Thank you for your outstanding comments! I agree! Dr. Kers proposed a benchmarking project to our working group; & that will be our next focus. This will be crucial in helping us all in speaking the same language when tackling validation. We are exploring a unified image repository for algorithm validation. We touched on some of these concepts in our prior working group publications, most recently in the following: https://www.frontierspartnerships.org/journals/transplant-international/articles/10.3389/ti.2023.11783/full. As you say, we will continue to clarify our roadmap to achieve these goals. Thank you all for your advice & participation!
Agree defining the context of use and the clinical claim is critical to validate relevant performance
I think this working group needs to discuss a roadmap for clinical validation and consensus around digital path tools enhance Banff scoring. How do we avoid that different in house and/or commercial products emerge claiming to do Banff scoring better than humans?
